Mission of the Role:

The Staff Accountant will be a critical team member within the organization reporting to the Accounting Manager and working closely with the Regional Controller. He / she will have extensive involvement in establishing accounting controls and policies to support the Company as it grows. The Staff Accountant must have superior organization and communication skills, while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including cash transactions and bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and assisting with acquisitions and integrations. He / she will record cash transactions weekly, and post other accounting transactions to the financial statements monthly. This individual will participate heavily in the robust month-end close process for the Region, working closely with the Accounting Manager and Regional Controller to ensure financial reporting integrity. The Staff Accountant will also be highly involved in the year-end audit process by providing support as requested. This opportunity offers high visibility in a rapidly growing company and the successful candidate must show great initiative and work with limited supervision.


Working closely with the Regional Controller and wider Accounting team, the Staff Accountant will play a key support role in ensuring accurate and auditable financial statements. Job responsibilities include:

  • Post cash activity weekly – working with the Accounting Manager and Regional Controller as needed to ensure transactions are coded correctly
  • Post transactions to the financial statements on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely month-end and year-end close process, prepare balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
  • Assist with providing external auditors all requested materials, in conjunction with Regional Controller and Accounting Manager
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and implement streamlined procedures where possible
  • Execute the individual and team goals that support strategic and operational initiatives
  • Contribute to team culture

  • 2+ years of prior accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Ability to communicate accounting and financial information into common language
